The long way round
Emmer began on long drives along the Atlantic coast of Portugal, with an engineer's eye, a love of good coffee and one simple wish: to cook a proper meal wherever the road ends, and to share it.
Gathering around an Emmer kitchen is not just about a meal. It is about closeness, sincerity, care and hospitality. The idea behind Emmer
Born on the road
Emmer was born on the road. Alex spent long stretches travelling by car, across Portugal and beyond, cooking wherever the day ended. Every camp kitchen he tried asked for a compromise: some looked like an afterthought, some were not made for rough tracks, and many took over the whole trunk.
So he set out to build one without those compromises, guided by three ideas. It had to be beautiful, something you are glad to open in front of friends. It had to be made to the highest standard, from the rails to the last weld. And it had to leave room: a slim body that slides into the trunk and leaves plenty of space for everything else you bring, from tents and fridges to recovery gear.
The name came from the same trips. Emmer joins three things that made those mornings: coffee, meditation and adventure. It started as a small case for brewing coffee by the road and, trip by trip, grew into a complete kitchen that fits any car.

From sketch to steel
Emmer did not start in a workshop. It started on a screen. Every module was modelled in CAD down to the last bend and fastener, then reviewed again and again with the design engineers, often on late calls between trips.
Then the prototypes went where the kitchen would live: into the sand, onto rocky tracks and through long days of real cooking. What did not work was redrawn. What worked was refined until it felt effortless: the way the modules slide out, the way the stove sits in its drawer, the way everything packs away again.
Only then did Emmer go into production.

The engineer behind it
Alex Solovei is an engineer by training. He began in science, designing and building precision optical instruments, where a fraction of a millimetre decides whether something works.
He then spent more than fifteen years building companies: first a manufacturing business that turned his own designs for steel and wood furniture into serial production, later a software company that thousands of businesses rely on every day. It taught him to think in systems: how a product is engineered, how it is made at scale and how it reaches the people who use it.
Emmer brings both sides together: an engineer's precision and an eye for clean, honest design.

Created in Portugal, assembled in Poland
Emmer was created and developed in Portugal. Every kitchen is assembled in Poland, at our engineering and assembly base.
The parts are made on modern equipment: precise laser cutting, CNC bending and durable powder coating. In Poland, specialists in design engineering, sales and marketing work side by side with the assembly team, and each kitchen is assembled and checked before it leaves.
One meal, one breathtaking view at a time.
